Course Objective: Complex Bowel and Wound Care
The objective of this course is to equip community nurses, support workers under RN supervision, and coordinators with the foundational knowledge and practical understanding required to safely assist with complex bowel and wound care in community settings. This includes identifying care needs, recognizing red flags, following delegated procedures, maintaining infection control, accurately documenting changes, and knowing when and how to escalate concerns all in line with NDIS High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (0104) compliance. The course aims to ensure learners are confident and competent in supporting participants with dignity, safety, and clinical accuracy under RN oversight.
