Course Objective
To equip support workers, coordinators, transport drivers, and activity facilitators with the knowledge and skills to safeguard NDIS participants during summer by:

Identifying and mitigating risks (heat-related illnesses, dehydration, medication impacts, and transport hazards).

Promoting proactive strategies (hydration, sun protection, and activity adjustments) aligned with NDIS Practice Standards and WHS guidelines.

Recognizing and responding to heat-induced health/behavioral changes and emergencies with appropriate reporting.

Ensuring compliance with seasonal safety protocols to uphold participant well-being in high-temperature environments.
Outcome: Learners will demonstrate competency through scenario-based assessments, enabling them to apply safety measures confidently in real-world settings.
